About Camp

Values Guide Our Program

Arts Camp for Boys and Girls Age 9-17For more than 50 years, summers at Appel Farm have sparked the imaginations of thousands of young people as they interacted with artists from around the world in a beautiful part of rural southern New Jersey. Safety, Community, Personal Growth, and Fun have always guided our program and continue to ensure that every child experiences a summer that will last a lifetime.

Safety

Your child’s physical and emotional safety is our top priority. Our experienced mature counselors, all over the age of 20, are carefully chosen to be positive role models who will empower your child to gain self-confidence, awareness and independence in a well supervised environment.

Community

Your child will be welcomed into a caring, diverse, non-competitive community where friendship and acceptance are valued. Being surrounded by children with similar interests, and counselors who actively help children form connections, will ensure that your child makes friends.

Personal Growth

We believe all children have artistic talent waiting to be discovered and nurtured. With only 230 campers in each session and a 3:1 camper/staff ratio, individualized attention is at the heart of every class. Professional artists and arts educators will guide your child's development based on his or her skill level and interests.

Fun

With a balanced schedule of classes, free-time, workshops, trips, campfires, performances and special events, every session at Appel Farm is fun!

A Complete Camp Experience

Most of our campers attend for four weeks, though a two-week session is a great way to try out camp for the first time. Sessions can be combined in order to stay for 6 or 8 weeks. With only two opening days, campers start together for each set of sessions.

2, 4, 6, or 8-Week Sessions Available
